Mission Broadcasting, Inc. today appointed Sharon Moser Corporate Controller for its group of commercial television stations. In this role, she will oversee all of the accounting functions for Mission’s stations in seventeen U.S. markets.
Sharon Moser replaces David Jones who is retiring after 12 years in this position and 17 years overall with the company.
Ms. Moser’s rich accounting background covers over twenty-five years of experience, including twelve years at the station level and ten years in corporate account for the Irving, TX based, Nexstar Broadcast Group, Inc. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX.
In conjunction with this announcement, Mission’s accounting headquarters will move to Wichita Falls, TX in early September of this year. She will start on August 31st and will report to Dennis P. Thatcher, Mission’s President.
Commenting on the appointment, Dennis Thatcher stated, “Sharon brings a wealth of industry background to this position. She has a proven long-term record of success, matched by a meticulous approach to every detail. We are confident that there will be a smooth transition to this new position.”
