This summer marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of Mission Broadcasting, Inc. Our founder, David Smith, secured his first station on July 11, 1996, in Nashville, TN. Today Mission owns commercial television stations in 27 communities across the U.S., including WPIX in New York City! Our company, led by Chairwoman, Nancie Smith, holds the distinction of being the largest, woman-owned television group in the country.
To commemorate this milestone, Mission contributed to a foodbank in each community we serve. A special Public Service Announcement is also airing on our stations from now until the end of September.
